Hi,

A nice collection of information.

It would be more nice if someone comes forward to put all these info in a Book format.

Accessing computers during a pilgrimage tour is very difficult.

Even while going to these places on official or some personal works like marriage, we can visit these temples

Is this possible

Regards,

A Srinivasan

Dear Sir

I am Suresh, residing in Indiranagar, Chennai. A few months back one of our close family friends whose native is Thandarai Village near Cheyyar, wanted me to visit his village where he heard that an ancient Shiva Temple is in a very bad dilapidated condition. When we visited the village, we were shocked to see the shiva temple completely in ruins with the ceiling of the temple having crashed to the ground. The temple was densely covered with creepers, shrubs and thorny bushes. There was no visibility of the Deities anywhere. We were told that this temple is in this state for the past atleast 20 years and even before that there was no pooja done since there was no gurukkal. With the help of the local villagers, when we were clearing the creepers and thorny bushes, we were able to sight the Lord. Much to the surprise of all assembled there, the Lord stood tall and unaffected by the ruins. The height of the lingam is around 3 to 4 feet with no visible damage. Next to the Lord lay the idol of the Goddess buried under the ruins with only her face visible. We still do not know what else is there under the ruins and debris. We then cleared the place surrounding the Lord to enable a person to do atleast a Neivethyam everyday. From that day, we are on the job for getting permission to renovate the temple. All the formalities by the HR & CE have been completed and the permission from them will be given anytime from now. We are in the process of starting a Bank account and identifying the Donors. Meantime, a leading sthapathi from Kancheepuram has been associated with us and he has the estimate ready. We want ardent bhakthas to be associated with this renovation. Request bhakthas to treat this as an appeal and donate liberally. My name is Suresh and can be reached on my mobile 9282222250.

Dear Vinod,

I am a devotee of Guru Rayaru. I am very much happy to know that with the blessings of Rayaru a brindavan is being built in Vasavapuram. Can you please send me the bank account details of the trust so that I can do some wire transfer as my contribution.
